Enemy Elements

From Forsaken Planet

Dungeons Of Eternity > Enemies > Enemy Elements

In Dungeons of Eternity, enemies can possess an elemental trait that add an additional layer of challenge for adventurers. These elements—Ice, Poison, and Fire—can be found across various enemies, and they significantly impact how players must approach combat. However, not all enemies possess one of these elemental traits, and no enemy will have more than one element.

Elemental Traits in Combat[edit | edit source]

Ice: Enemies with the Ice element can freeze players for a short duration. This effect reduces the player’s mobility and makes them vulnerable to subsequent attacks. Ice-based enemies are particularly dangerous when they use frost-based abilities to control the battlefield, slowing down players and making it harder to escape or dodge attacks.

Poison: Poison inflicts ongoing damage over time while also disorienting players. Affected players will experience narrowed vision, slower reactions, and will take periodic damage. Poison attacks are especially hazardous in prolonged encounters, as players must manage both the damage and the disorientation. Enemies using poison-based attacks may spew toxic clouds or release poisonous projectiles that linger in the environment, creating dangerous areas that players must avoid.

Fire: Enemies with the Fire element can explode upon close contact, dealing high burst damage to anyone nearby.

Elemental Effects on Strategy:

Managing Ice: Players must be quick to escape frozen states or break free by having a team member hit them, before they are overwhelmed by additional attacks. Combatting enemies with ice abilities requires precise timing and movement to avoid getting trapped.

Managing Poison: Keeping distance is crucial when fighting poisonous enemies, and players must consider healing potions or other ways to counteract the poison’s effects. Poison clouds should be avoided, and quick repositioning is key to survival.

Managing Fire: Fire-based enemies demand careful proximity control—players should avoid getting too close to such enemies or risk being caught in explosive bursts.

Summary[edit | edit source]

The Ice, Poison, and Fire elements add significant complexity to the encounters in Dungeons of Eternity. Whether it’s freezing a player in place, disorienting them with poison, or setting off deadly explosions, these elemental traits require players to be strategic in their approach. Environmental awareness, positioning, and timely reactions will be the key to surviving encounters with these dangerous foes.
