The rewards system includes items found in chests like Weapon Modules, experience points and Trophies.

Chests

Chests are the main source of rewards, be they Coins, Cosmetics, Weapon Modules or Potions

XP

XP is gained through actions and achievements. Actions like picking up a stack of Coins (loot coins). Achievements like "Saving the Drone" mission.

XP and generally all rewards are shared. If you pick up 2 coins and I pick up 8 coins everyone in the party gets 10 loot coins and everyone gets 5 XP. In addition, everyone gets the same amount of coins towards their Leaderboards standing.

Quest coins are different than loot coins. They are not shared, but they are generally given to everyone for the same action/achievement.

For instance, finishing a dungeon (even if you lose) gives you some quest coins -- those coins are not shared with other party members will get their own set of quest coins (and the XP they generate).

XP for kills is shared, but kills are not (and not shared on the Leaderboards).
