Mimics are Monsters disguised as chests.

There are mimics in the form of Tier 2 Chests, named a Tier 2 Mimic and mimics in the form of Tier 3 Chests, named a Tier 3 Mimic. Currently there is no "Tier 1 Mimic".

There is about a 1 in 10 chance of finding a mimic for a given tier level and parties will only ever find at most one mimic of a given tier in a single dungeon. That is, it is possible to find a Tier 2 Mimic and a Tier 3 Mimic in the same dungeon but never two Tier 2 Mimics or two Tier 3 Mimics.

When replaying saved dungeons, mimics do seem to show up in the same chamber often (all though not always)

When mimics are seen in dungeon Difficulty Tiers 1 and 2, they can not reduce a players health below 9%
