In Dungeons of Eternity, each enemy is classified by toughness, which indicates their overall strength, resilience, and difficulty in combat. The toughness classification system helps players understand the level of challenge an enemy presents. Toughness influences various factors, including health, attack power, resistance to damage, and combat abilities.

Understanding the toughness of enemies is essential to preparing for battles. Lower toughness enemies may be encountered in early or lower-level areas, while higher-level dungeons and boss fights are reserved for Elite and Legendary enemies. Players should adjust their combat strategies and team setups according to the toughness level of the enemies they face, ensuring they are well-equipped for each challenge.

The five toughness categories are as follows:

Light

Light

  • Toughness: Light enemies are the easiest to defeat, often serving as the introductory or basic foes in dungeons.
  • Appearance: They are typically characterized by yellowish coloring, making them visually distinct from tougher enemies.
  • Attributes: Light enemies have lower health and weaker attacks. They may still pose a challenge when encountered in large groups, but their individual threat is minimal.
  • Strategy: These enemies are great for practicing combat mechanics, and they should be defeated quickly without much difficulty. Speed is key to minimizing time spent in combat.

Medium

Medium

  • Toughness: Medium enemies are slightly stronger than Light enemies but still remain manageable for most adventurers.
  • Appearance: These enemies feature a light green coloring, setting them apart from Light enemies while signaling their increased difficulty.
  • Attributes: Medium enemies have moderate health and average damage output. They may possess slightly more complex attack patterns or abilities.
  • Strategy: Players should remain cautious, but most tactics for Light enemies will work here. These enemies may take a little longer to defeat, but they don’t present major threats individually.

Heavy

Heavy

  • Toughness: Heavy enemies are a significant step up in difficulty. They are more resilient and capable of dealing substantial damage.
  • Appearance: These enemies are marked by a deep red coloring, which signals their higher toughness
  • Attributes: Heavy enemies have high health and stronger attacks. They may also be better at resisting certain types of damage or applying dangerous debuffs to players.
  • Strategy: Players must be strategic in combat, focusing on avoiding damage while gradually wearing down the enemy. Managing resources like healing items and crowd control abilities becomes more important here.

Elite

Elite

  • Toughness: Elite enemies represent some of the most dangerous threats in the game. They are tough, powerful, and often come with unique abilities or mechanics.
  • Appearance: These enemies stand out with a bright red coloring, indicating their status as formidable opponents.
  • Attributes: Elite enemies have very high health, devastating damage output, and may utilize different attacks than their weaker counterparts

  • Appearance: Legendary enemies are marked with a purple coloring, signaling their immense power and importance.
  • Attributes: Legendary enemies have extremely high health and devastatingly powerful attacks.
