An apex predator of the Octoculodes lineage, the Octoculus Boss is a terrifying entity that drifts through the tunnels of Planet Eternity, its grotesque form dominating the darkness. Unlike its cousin, the Blind Octoculus, this monstrosity possesses vision—though not in a conventional sense. Eight floating, disembodied eyes hover above its head, granting it an almost supernatural awareness of its surroundings. Striking these eyes causes them to vanish, weakening its defenses. Their floating gaze seems to pierce through the soul, and their movements are eerily silent—until they strike. Legends speak of ancient civilizations that may have worshipped or even created these creatures, but whatever their origins, one thing is certain: when an Octoculus watches, there is no escape.
The Octoculus’s massive, gaping maw, lined with jagged fangs, is its most lethal feature. Those unfortunate enough to be caught in its Chomp attack may find themselves momentarily consumed—dragged into the writhing abyss of its mouth—before being violently regurgitated, thrown across the battlefield with tremendous force. Some survivors claim the experience is more than just physical, as if the creature devours not only flesh but something deeper, leaving them momentarily drained and disoriented.
The Octoculus Boss does not use its tentacles for attack or mobility; instead, they sway and pulse with its breath, possibly aiding in its eerie method of levitation. Its primary ranged attack is a searing Fireball, launched directly from its cavernous mouth with devastating precision. These fiery projectiles explode on impact, making it a deadly threat even from a distance.

The Octoculus charges a ball of searing energy in its mouth before hurling it at unsuspecting prey.
Chomp[edit | edit source]
Latches onto a target, swallows them whole for a brief moment, and then spits them out with tremendous force.
Floating Eyes[edit | edit source]
The creature’s eight autonomous eyes serve as its greatest strength and weakness; eliminating them reduces its power, making it more vulnerable to attack.
Octoculi are feared not just for their raw power, but for their unsettling presence.
