Drifting silently through the darkened tunnels of Planet Eternity, the Blind Octoculus is a terrifying predator that relies not on sight, but on sound. Its large round body hovers eerily above the ground, supported by an unknown levitational force. Though entirely eyeless, this monstrous being possesses a highly sensitive auditory system, capable of detecting even the faintest footstep or whispered breath. Belonging to the Octoculodes family, the Blind Octoculus is theorized to be a distant cousin of cephalopods, though it has evolved along a vastly different path. Its smooth, fleshy body is dotted with sensory pits that translate vibrations into a form of spatial awareness, allowing it to “see” its surroundings through sound alone. Adventurers who attempt to move in complete silence may evade its detection, but any sudden noise will summon its wrath. When provoked, the Blind Octoculus emits a piercing, bone-rattling screech, disorienting its prey before striking. It attacks in two distinct ways: first, by lashing out with jagged, barbed bites using a hidden circular maw lined with needle-like teeth, and second, by forming an organic combustion reaction within its core, launching a molten fireball at distant targets. This combination of melee and ranged capabilities makes it a formidable opponent in the tight confines of Eternity’s tunnels. Legends among Star Guild explorers claim that where one Blind Octoculus lurks, others are never far behind. Their eerie wails often echo through the caverns, an ominous warning to all who dare to trespass. Should a traveler hear the telltale screech in the darkness, their only hope may be to freeze in place, hold their breath, and pray the creature does not come closer. == Gallery == <gallery> File:0aa7a32d62374a288ab23a2ae48bff66.jpg </gallery>
